A method for repairing a recording of a web conference session may include generating, at a first client device, a first recording of the web conference session with a second client device. The quality of the data received from the second client device may be monitored. In response to the quality of the data being below a threshold level, a first command to start a second recording of the web conference session at the second client device may be sent to the second client device. The first recording of the web conference session may be sent to a repair engine to enable the repair engine to generate a third recording of the web conference session in which a first portion of the first recording is replaced and/or combined with at least a second portion of the second recording.
