At least part of the functional layer defines at least one pattern that includes at least one conductive area and at least one non-conductive area formed by a through opening in the functional layer. The pattern forming at least part of an electrical circuit being arranged to perform a function of interacting with a passenger of the vehicle on an external surface of the trim element. The conductive material of the functional layer is conductive paint.
