The invention relates to a wearable safety item, for use in emergency situations and wearable by a person, including a substantially planar body adaptable to worn by the person in the first state and be able to be opened up in the second state. Also one or more pockets are included, associated with the body adapted to hold useful items for the emergency situation. The body includes instructions useful in an emergency situation when opened up in the second state, and in first state the wearable safety item is comfortably worn, including the item in the pocket.
