In this method, a relay node may combine N signals into one signal. Each signal may be a signal obtained by performing frequency shift on a signal received by a receive channel corresponding to each signal, or each signal may be a signal obtained without performing frequency shift on a signal received by a receive channel corresponding to each signal. At least one signal included in the N signals is a signal obtained by performing frequency shift on a signal received by a receive channel corresponding to the at least one signal. The relay node may send the combined one signal.
