A window includes: a vitreous substrate pane forming a substrate, the substrate including at least one surface; and a coating disposed on the at least one surface of the substrate, wherein at least one of:
(a) the window within a wavelength range from 400 to 700 nm has an average transmittance τavg,400 nm to 700 nm of less than 15%, where τavg,400 nm to 700 nm is defined as
