In one example window display method, an electronic device displays a first window and a second window, where a screen direction of the electronic device is a first direction, the screen direction is one of a portrait direction, a landscape direction, a reverse portrait direction, and a reverse landscape direction, and a display direction of the first window is the first direction. When detecting that the screen direction of the electronic device changes from the first direction to a second direction, the electronic device keeps a display direction of the second window unchanged, and rotates the first window, so that the display direction of the first window is the second direction.
