Embodiments of the present invention provide a display panel and a method for fabricating the display panel. The display panel includes an active layer, a gate, a source/drain metal layer and a first conductive layer, wherein the source/drain metal layer is stacked with the first conductive layer in the non-display area. The first conductive layer is arranged in the light-emitting area and the non-light-emitting area, and the thickness of the first conductive layer is smaller than that of the source/drain metal layer. In an embodiment of the present application, by reducing the thickness of the corresponding first conductive layer in the light-emitting area, after depositing other film layers on the thinner first conductive layer, a flat anode can be obtained, thereby enabling light-emitting film layers have the same thickness and improve the light-emitting effect of the panel.
