In particular, they include structure and systems that incorporate or expand medical cabinet systems with platform-based (open access) devices that can assist with managing and stocking of medical products in controlled environments (e.g., rooms having restricted access such locks or key codes to allow authorized personnel). They also include providing convenient expansion to temperature regulated products by adapting refrigerators or freezers using specialized shelf top platform devices that operate inside the refrigerator or freezer by way of the integration of algorithms and/or hardware.
