The wellbore tractor charging station, in one aspect, includes a power generation module, the power generation module configured to self-generate power for transfer to a wellbore tractor located within a wellbore. The wellbore tractor charging station, in another aspect, includes a power transfer module coupled to the power generation module, the power transfer module configured to transfer the power generated by the power generation module to the wellbore tractor while the wellbore tractor is located within a wellbore.
