A method for providing a notification associated with at least one of a plurality of connected devices is provided. The method includes accessing, by one or more computing devices, user data associated with one or more recipients included in a multi-tier notification tree. The method further includes dynamically updating, by the one or more computing devices, the multi-tier notification tree based, at least in part, on a change in the user data, wherein the user data is indicative of a location of the one or more recipients included in the multi-tier notification tree. The method further includes providing, by the one or more computing devices, a notification indicative of an event to one or more recipients included in the multi-tier notification tree.
