Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive an adaptation indication that includes a spatial adaptation indication that indicates one or more derived resources associated with a first CSI-RS base resource, each derived resource including a subset of channel state information (CSI) reference signal (CSI-RS) ports of a network entity that are derived from the first CSI-RS base resource, and/or a power adaptation indication that indicates power offsets for the first CSI-RS base resource or for the derived resources. The UE may transmit CSI feedback based at least in part on measurement of a CSI-RS from the derived resources, measurement of the CSI-RS in association with the power offsets, and/or measurement of a base CSI-RS transmitted from the first CSI-RS base resource in association with the power offsets.
