A roof rack foot for securing a cross bar to a roof of a vehicle. The roof rack foot includes a first clamping portion and an actuation device. The first clamping portion includes a lid receiving area. The roof rack foot further includes a lid removably coupled to the lid receiving area. The actuation device is coupled to the first clamping portion and a second clamping portion, and the actuation device is configured to move the second clamping portion toward the first clamping portion to secure the roof rack foot to the vehicle roof. The roof rack foot further includes a release button coupled to the lid, and the lid is configured to cover the actuation device in a first configuration.
