The instructions, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the electronic device to identify a user input which triggers a profile transfer from an external electronic device to the electronic device, provide information related to the profile transfer based on the user input, and obtain, from the external electronic device, information for downloading a profile, and the information related to the profile transfer includes information indicating that the information related to the profile transfer is provided by the electronic device to download the profile.
