Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from one or more base stations, scheduling information for a multi-beam communication using a set of beams between the UE and the one or more base stations. The UE may perform, with the one or more base stations, the multi-beam communication based at least in part on: receiver assistance information for one or more beams in the set of beams associated with the multi-beam communication, and a policy to fulfil a grant according to the scheduling information, partially fulfil the grant according to the scheduling information, or not fulfil the grant according to the scheduling information using the receiver assistance information.
