An adjustable bearing comprises a rolling bearing assembly 9 mounted in a bush 8 which has a threaded exterior, a member 14 abuts with the outer race 21 and, at the end away from the bearing assembly, a part spherical surface 18, which bears against the interior of a threaded cap 15. The threaded cap may be provided with slits in its side wall, and also with recesses 27 for engagement with an adjusting tool.
