Abstract:
A brake having a rotary drum and a stationary axle with an integral cylinder housing. A thickened portion is provided at a desired position on the axle to form the cylinder housing in which one or more cylinders may be located. When the brakes are applied, the torque from the rotating drum is transmitted through the integral cylinder housing to the axle.
