摘要：
A viscoelastic damping apparatus is mounted to a structure which is moved by at least two linear step motor armatures in a stepby-step manner simultaneously or sequentially in each of two coordinate directions. The step motor armatures each include electromagnetic motor poles which are excited in a phased sequence to produce movements of the structure in the two coordinate directions. The damping apparatus is composed of inertial mass and a viscoelastic member which connects the mass to the structure to resiliently damp the stepping movements of the structure.
