摘要：
A charging apparatus for electrostatically charging copying material in an electro-photographic copying machine includes a receptacle with its bottom plate fitted detachably and held in place by a spring. This receptacle holds a tungsten wire to produce a corona discharge and the wire can be easily replaced by removing the bottom plate.
