摘要：
A chronograph mechanism mounted on the gear train of a timepiece movement. A coupling device and a locking device on the driven end of the mechanism are operable for synchronistic movement; a braking device on the terminal end of the mechanism operates to secure the gear train at both ends when the mechanism is disconnected from the movement so as to prevent any slippage of the gears.
