摘要：
A polymeric quaternary ammonium compound, or a mixture of polymeric quaternary ammonium compounds, having the formula Z[CH.sub.2 CHOHCH.sub.2 -N.sup..sym. (CH.sub.3).sub.2 ].sub.n CH.sub.2 CHOHCH.sub.2 --Z + nX.sup.-, wherein Z is either X or the radical --N(CH.sub.3).sub.2 ; where X is halogen of atomic weight greater than 34; and n is an integer of from 2 to 20.
