The field magnet pole has at least four magnetic poles and the angular spacing is equal to 360 degrees divided by the number of the magnetic poles, and at least one of the armature windings has an angular spacing which is (2n - 1) times the width of the field magnet pole, where n is a positive integer of 2 or more, and control means for successive switching, rendering said armature windings conductive, is provided.
