There is disclosed a copying machine with an automatic document feeder in which an original is held on a holding drum and a copy sheet is fed to a photosensitive drum in synchronism with the rotation of the holding drum.The copying machine with an automatic document feeder has circulator for holding an original exposure, for exposing to light the original held on said circulator to form an image on a transfer material at an image-forming section, feeder for feeding the transfer material to said image-forming section, a generator for generating a reference signal in synchronism with rotation of said circulator, and a controller for controlling said feeder in response to said reference signal.
