Chlorinated phosphorylmethylcarbonylpyrazoles of the formula ##STR1## in which R.sup.1 is an optionally substituted alkyl, aryl, aralkyl, alkoxy or aralkoxy radical,R.sup.2 is an optionally substituted alkoxy or aralkoxy radical, orR.sup.1 and R.sup.2 together are an alkanedioxy radical,X is hydrogen or chlorine,R.sup.3 and R.sup.5 each independently is hydrogen or alkyl, andR.sup.4 is hydrogen, halogen or alkyl,which possess herbicidal and fungicidal activity.
