A color image processing system comprises a device for taking an image of an object, a first converting device for converting the image information obtained by the imaging device into red, green, and blue images, a second converting device for converting the red, green, and blue images into images representing intensity, saturation, and hue respectively, and a third converting device for converting the images representing the intensity, saturation, and hue into red, green, and blue images.
