Fungicidal and microbicidal substituted 1-aminomethyl-3-aryl-4-cyano-pyrroles of the formula ##STR1## in which Ar represents optionally substituted phenyl,R.sup.1 represents optionally substituted alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl or cycloalkyl or in each case optionally substituted aralkyl or aryl andR.sup.2 represents alkyl or in each case optionally substituted cycloalkylalkyl, aralkyl, cycloalkyl or aryl,and their acid addition salts.
