摘要：
Disclosed is a method of producing dense refractory products, comprising:(a) obtaining a quantity of exoergic material in powder form capable of sustaining a combustion synthesis reaction;(b) removing absorbed water vapor therefrom;(c) cold-pressing said material into a formed body;(d) plasma spraying said formed body with a molten exoergic material to form a coat thereon; and(e) igniting said exoergic coated formed body under an inert gas atmosphere and pressure to produce self-sustained combustion synthesis.Also disclosed are products produced by the method.
