An electrostatic image developing toner containing at least one compound selected from the group consisting of sulfonylurea compounds of the following formula (1): ##STR1## wherein A is a phenyl group which may have a substituent, or a naphthyl group which may have a substituent, and each of B and C which are independent of each other, is a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, a phenyl group which may have a substituent, or a naphthyl group which may have a substituent, or B and C together form a ring; or the following formula (2):D--SO.sub.2 NHCONH--X--NHCONHSO.sub.2 --E (2)wherein each of D and E which are independent of each other, is an alkyl group, a phenyl group which may have a substituent, or a naphthyl group which may have a substituent, and X is a phenylene group which may have a substituent, a biphenylene group which may have a substituent, or a naphthylene group which may have a substituent.
