There is disclosed a silver halide color photographic material which comprises one yellow coupler represented by the following formula (1) or (2), and a compound represented by the following formula (3) or (4). ##STR1## wherein X.sup.1 and X.sup.2 each represent an alkyl group, an aryl group, or a heterocyclic group, X.sup.3 represents an organic residue required to form a nitrogen-containing heterocyclic group together with the >N--, Y represents an aryl group or a heterocyclic group, and Z represents a group capable of being released upon a coupling reaction with the oxidized product of a developing agent, ##STR2## wherein R.sub.a1, R.sub.a2, R.sub.a3, R.sub.a4, and R.sub.a5 each represent a hydrogen atom, or a substituent such as an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, an aryl group, a heterocyclic group, a cyano group, a halogen atom, or a nitro group, provided that R.sub.al, R.sub.a2, R.sub.a3, R.sub.a4, and R.sub.a5 are not hydrogen atoms at the same time, ##STR3## wherein R.sub.3 represents a hydrogen atom, or a substituent such as --OR.sub.4 in which R.sub.4 represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group, an oxy radical, R.sub.5 ' and R.sub.5 " each represent an alkyl group, B represents a group of non-metallic atoms required to form together with the nitrogen atom a 5- to 7-membered ring.
