摘要：
A solid golf ball having good controllability and long flight distance and having a solid core, a cover covering the core and dimples formed on the surface of the cover, wherein the cover has a Shore D hardness of 52 to 64 and the dimples satisfy the following equation: (Dimple area proportion (%)).times.(Total dimple volume (mm.sup.3)).div.100=220 to 270.
