The outer cover layer has a hardness of at least 58 degrees on Shore D which is highest among the ball layers. Provided that the ball has a hardness B expressed by a distortion under a load of 100 kg, the ratio A/B is between 1.1/1 and 4.0/1. The ball has adequate spin receptivity, good flying performance, durability and a pleasant feel. Less dependence on head speed allows the ball to offer a satisfactory carry to low head speed players.
