The present invention relates to a liner free heat-sensitive recording adhesive sheet comprisinga substrate,a heat-sensitive recording layer formed on one face of the substrate,a barrier layer formed on the heat-sensitive recording layer,a release layer formed on the barrier layer, andan adhesive layer formed on the other face of the substrate, wherein the barrier layer is formed by applying a coating composition comprising colloidal silica and at least one member selected from the group consisting of water-soluble resins and water-dispersible resins. The liner free heat-sensitive recording adhesive sheet is excellent in recording sensitivity and printer runability as well as cohesion between the barrier layer and the release layer.
