Disclosed is a photographic element comprising a support on which is coated at least one green-sensitized silver halide emulsion layer having associated therewith at least one magenta dye-forming coupler of Formula I ##STR1## wherein: R.sub.1 is an alkyl group;R.sub.5, R.sub.6, R.sub.7, and R.sub.8 each independently represent a hydrogen atom or a substituent; and ##STR2## in which i, B, and J are independently hydrogen, alkyl or aryl substituent groups that together comprise at least two hydroxyl groups. The element provides improved resistance to yellowing.
