A colour photographic recording material having at least one red-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer which is associated with a cyan coupler, at least one green-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer which is associated with a magenta coupler, at least one blue-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer which is associated with a yellow coupler contains in at least one green-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer a 2-equivalent pyrazolone coupler and in a photosensitive or non-photosensitive layer a white coupler of the formula (I) ##STR1## in which X.sup.1 means an acyl residue derived from an aliphatic, cycloaliphatic or aromatic carboxylic or sulphonic acid, a carbonic acid semi-ester or a carbamic acid,Z means the residue required to complete a saturated or partially unsaturated 5- or 6-membered carbocyclic ring which is optionally substituted and/or provided with a further fused ring or ring system.The colour images produced using the recording material exhibit elevated storage stability without a subsequent increase in fog or a subsequent increase in colour density or spotting occurring during storage.
