The heat-sensitive recording material comprises a substrate, and on the substrate, a heat-sensitive recording layer containing a diazonium salt compound and a coupler. The coupler contains at least one of pyrrolo[1,2-a]pyrimidine compounds represented by following general formula (1). In the formula, R1 represents an aryl group or the like, R2 represents an alkoxycarbonyl group or the like, R3 and R4 represent an acyl group or the like, and R5 represents a hydrogen atom or the like.
