A screen mounting basket for a vibratory separator for separating components of material introduced into the basket, the vibratory separator including a collection receptacle beneath the basket, the basket including two opposed spaced-apart side walls having first ends and second ends, the first ends spaced-apart by an end wall connected to each of the side walls, at least one opening through the end wall or one of the side walls, at least one secondary screen within or outside the basket over said at least one opening, at least one basket screen within the basket, and the at least one secondary screen and the at the at least one basket screen for separating a first component from the material, the first component flowing through the at least one secondary screen into the collection receptacle without flowing through the basket screen. The basket screen may be deleted and all fluid flow may be out from the secondary screen or screens. Such a basket with at least one side opening and a side screen over the side opening.
