A mono-azo compound of Formula (1) and salts thereof: wherein A, G, L1, L2, and R1, are defined in the specification, have especially good light fastness and other advantageous properties. These dyes may be used in inks, especially inks for ink jet printing inks and in ink jet printing processes to print substrates and to in ink jet printer cartridges.
