Advantageous equipping of a cupboard with the cupboard monitoring device can be achieved if the housing is embodied as a roof unit, with fixing holes arranged in the boundary region thereof for connection to the rack or the rack-like folded structure, where at least one part of the sensors are arranged on the underside of the housing lower piece, facing the cupboard interior.
