The socket body includes outer casing having a bottom plate and a contact holding member that is detachably received within the outer casing, and holds the contacts. Each of the contacts includes a board contact piece portion projecting from a lower surface of the contact holding member so as to be held in contact with the printed wiring board, and the printed wiring board is held between the bottom plate and the contact holding member.
