The pump module includes a chamber, a fuel pump disposed within the chamber and a lid for member telescopically movably supporting the chamber via a telescopic means. An outside diameter of at least an upper end portion of the chamber is set to be smaller than an inside diameter of an inner tubular portion provided at the lid member, so that the upper end portion of the chamber can enter the inner tubular portion.
