First electrodes and second electrodes are formed on the second substrate along a second direction, which crosses the first direction. The address electrodes include expanded segments with an enlarged width in areas corresponding to the discharge cells, and indented segments that are indented at areas corresponding to gaps between the first electrodes and the second electrodes.
