And a driver for controlling the liquid crystal is provided at the non-face-to-face area of the end of the second surface where the second surface does not face the third surface. An inside frame has a fifth surface which faces a fourth surface as the other main surface of the second glass substrate via the polarizing plate, and is formed with a notch at the end of the fifth surface on the side of the non-face-to-face area.
