A rapid release, size adjustable, hands-free, back-supporting resilient band animal walking device is taught. The device provides a way to securely attach and position the leash so that the animal is constrained to walk within the filed of the walker's vision, reducing, if not eliminating, the ability of the animal to pull the walker backwards or sideways. The device provides for movements made by the person walking the animal to be transmitted to the animal minimizing the animal's urge to make sudden pulls and/or lunges, thus making animal walking a more comfortable, safe, and healthy experience.
