A Web server is provided at an electronic device by registering the Web server with an Internet server that has a public Internet Protocol address, receiving a message at the electronic device that indicates a request is forthcoming to access the Web server, establishing a communication connection with the Internet server responsive to receiving the message, receiving a request addressed to the Web server from a requesting device that is forwarded from the Internet server via the communication connection, and conveying a Web service from the Web server to the requesting device via the Internet server responsive to receiving the request.
