The screened space (11) is formed by the electrode (5) enclosing the internal wall (7) of the fluorescent lamp body (3) and by a neighboring electrode (5) and beyond it a disc-shaped cathode screen (15) in a direction away from the contact end (13) containing a central opening (17).
