An optical power adjusting method reading first optical power related information for all layers from a multi-layered optical disk placed in a disk player, storing the read information in another storage device, and making a current optical power apparatus to a moved layer without necessarily having to access the multi-layered optical disk by referring to the stored optical power related information when moving to another layer during record or reproduction.
