Furthermore, the apparatus can also include a nanowire or nanoparticle coupled to a surface of the light emitting diode. Additionally, the apparatus can include an electrode coupled to the light emitting diode, wherein the nanowire or nanoparticle is for receiving and converting the light into red and green light that is output from the nanowire or nanoparticle.
