A photocatalyst-coated body includes a substrate with an organic material as a surface thereof, a photocatalyst layer with interstices between the particles in the layer and an intermediate layer provided between the substrate and the photocatalyst layer. The photocatalyst layer includes photocatalyst particles in a range of 1 part≦x
