The capacitance coupling type touch panel includes on a substrate a plurality of first electrodes and a plurality of second electrodes. Each of the plurality of first electrodes includes a first portion formed on a layer different from a layer of the plurality of second electrodes to intersect one of the plurality of second electrodes, and a second portion formed on the same layer as the layer of the plurality of second electrodes separately from the plurality of second electrodes. The first portion is connected to the second portion via a contact hole formed through an insulating film formed between the first portion and the plurality of second electrodes.
