Methods and systems for managing storage of data in a cloud by receiving a request, wherein the request includes information to store data within a cloud, environment comprising a plurality of data storages coupled to each other over a network; routing the data to be stored within a specific location of storage within the cloud environment by checking for any regulatory compliance.
