The camera main body is connectable with an independent recorder including a sound collecting range of collecting a sound. The determination unit determines whether or not the recorder is connected. The display controller displays an operation information for operating the recorder in accordance with the determined result by the determination unit, and if the recorder is connected, displays the sound collecting range of the recorder in a state that the range is overlapped on the image on the display. The touch panel receives an operation according to the operation information displayed on the display, and sends an operation instruction corresponding to the operation to the recorder.
